Making your Submissions
Submissions must be made using our clear guidelines below:
Who is eligible?
Banks and non-bank financial institutions (including insurance companies, credit companies and finance companies) with retail operations in Asia Pacific, the Gulf region, Central Asia and Europe: Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, The Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, The United Arab Emirates, Tajikistan and Vietnam.
Institutions with operations in more than one country in Asia Pacific , Gulf or Central Asian country must apply separately for each domestic market in which they operate to enter the ‘Best Retail Bank by Country Award’.
Institutions that enter for “Best Regional Franchise Award (Asia Pacific or Gulf Region)” must make a separate submission regardless of their country submissions. Only commercial banks are eligible for this Award.

Will institutions that do not make a submission be considered?
We encourage all financial institutions to make submissions. However, regardless of your submission, The Asian Banker makes its own assessment based on previous interviews, industry observations and research. Institutions that do not make a submission risk not having a complete description of their programme fully considered.
Is the information submitted made available to the public?
All information submitted is treated in strictest confidence and used for evaluation purposes only. The Asian Banker publishes generic reports that discuss trends and emerging best practices from the program, but does not discuss any specific submission under any circumstances whatsoever.
When to submit?
Currently we do not accept submissions. The next round of the Excellence awards will commence in October 2010. Please contact tzink@theasianbanker.com if you are interested to join the next Programme.
